Zehra Artuç
Zehra Artuç was born in 1986 in Istanbul. She is currently studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Fatih Sultan Mehmet University. Her artistic journey began in 2011 when she started her illumination training with Meryem Er in Istanbul. In 2012, she attended design and drawing courses at Ümraniye Municipality. In 2013, she continued her illumination education under the guidance of Necati Sancaktutan. She started working with Kadriye Bayraktar and Hakan Dağlı in 2014.
Her artistic development accelerated through participation in various competitions, exhibitions, and projects. In 2015, her work was deemed worthy of exhibition in the 18th State Turkish Decorative Arts Competition organized by the Ministry of Culture. In 2016, she won third place in the Traditional Arts Competition organized by İSMEK. In 2017, her work was again selected for exhibition in the 19th State Turkish Decorative Arts Competition by the Ministry of Culture.
Zehra Artuç continued her illumination education at the Bağlarbaşı Turkish Islamic Arts Specialist School from 2014 to 2019, under the guidance of Kadriye Bayraktar and Hakan Dağlı, and contributed to several important projects during this time. In 2020, she expanded her artistic horizons by taking calligraphy courses at Ümraniye Municipality, and that same year, she continued her illumination studies at the Beykoz Baruthane Art under Kadriye Bayraktar.
Since 2018, she has been part of the artist group at Perdah Art, under the guidance of Kadriye Bayraktar, where she continues to produce various works.
She continually enhances her knowledge and experience in illumination art, staying updated on the latest developments in the field. Currently, she continues her artistic work at both the Beykoz Baruthane Art Workshop and the Perdah Art.
